Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic A Level Economics Teacher to join our international school team. The ideal candidate will deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Cambridge A-Level Economics curriculum, fostering a deep understanding of microeconomics, macroeconomics, and global economic issues, while preparing students for examination success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Economics lessons in line with Cambridge A-Level standards.
- Teach core economic topics, including market systems, international trade, fiscal and monetary policies, and economic development.
- Use real-world examples, case studies, and data analysis to bring economic concepts to life.
- Assess, record, and report student progress through regular formative and summative evaluations.
- Prepare students for A-Level Economics examinations with focused instruction and test strategies.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and inquiry-based classroom environment that encourages critical thinking and problem-solving.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, cross-disciplinary projects, and academic initiatives.
- Participate in school events, extracurricular activities (e.g., business/economics clubs), and professional development programs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Business, or a related field.
- Recognized teaching qualification (B.Ed., PGCE, or equivalent).
- Proven experience teaching Economics at A-Level or similar advanced programs (IB, AP).
- Strong knowledge of Cambridge A-Level Economics syllabus and assessment requirements.
- Excellent communication, classroom management, and organizational skills.
- Passion for inspiring students to analyze and apply economic concepts to real-world challenges.
