Job Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly skilled A Level Chemistry Teacher to join our international school team. The ideal candidate will deliver engaging and rigorous lessons aligned with the Cambridge A-Level Chemistry curriculum, helping students develop a deep understanding of chemical principles, laboratory skills, and critical thinking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Chemistry lessons that meet Cambridge A-Level standards.
- Teach core topics such as organic chemistry, physical chemistry, inorganic chemistry, and analytical techniques.
- Design and supervise laboratory experiments to reinforce theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
- Assess, record, and report student progress through formative and summative evaluations.
- Prepare students for A-Level examinations with focused instruction, practice tests, and exam strategies.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and inquiry-based classroom environment that encourages curiosity and problem-solving.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, cross-disciplinary initiatives, and academic events.
- Participate in school events, extracurricular science activities, and professional development workshops.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Recognized teaching qualification (B.Ed., PGCE, or equivalent).
- Proven experience teaching Chemistry at A-Level or similar advanced programs (IB, AP).
- Strong knowledge of Cambridge A-Level Chemistry syllabus and assessment requirements.
- Excellent communication, laboratory management, and organizational skills.
- Passion for inspiring students and fostering a love for science and research.
