Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled A Level Psychology Teacher to join our international school team. The ideal candidate will deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Cambridge A-Level Psychology curriculum, helping students explore psychological theories, research methods, and real-world applications of psychology while preparing them for examination success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Psychology lessons following Cambridge A-Level standards.
- Teach core topics such as cognitive psychology, biological psychology, learning theories, social influences, and mental health.
- Incorporate research projects, case studies, and experiments to enhance student understanding.
- Assess, record, and report student progress using formative and summative assessment strategies.
- Prepare students for A-Level Psychology examinations through targeted instruction and exam preparation sessions.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and inquiry-based classroom environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, cross-disciplinary projects, and school-wide initiatives.
- Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and ongoing professional development programs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology or a related field.
- Recognized teaching qualification (B.Ed., PGCE, or equivalent).
- Proven experience teaching Psychology at A-Level or equivalent advanced programs (IB, AP).
- Strong understanding of Cambridge A-Level Psychology syllabus and assessment requirements.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for fostering student engagement and interest in psychological science.
